During the meeting held at the request of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine, the Parties discussed a number of issues regarding Ukrainian-Chinese relations.
Chairman of the Committee Oleh Bilorus greeted Mr. Zhang Xiyun on his appointment to the office and emphasised the dynamic character of the relations between Ukraine and the People's Republic of China. O. Bilorus expressed willingness for the cooperation on the parliamentary level.
The Chairman of the Committee briefed on the political situation in Ukraine, and reported on the formation of the Deputy Group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Interparliamentary Liaison with the People's Republic of China.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine stated that interparliamentary relations are essential for the Chinese Party. The latter is willing to establish efficient cooperation. Zhang Xiyun also briefed on the political situation in China.
The Parties also deem necessary to strengthen cooperation in trade-economic and other sectors of mutual interest.
